Lesson 63: Phonics Game (Ear Training)
Instructions: The instructor says a series of sentences with words pronounced phonetically to arouse children's interest. Children should stand to complete the actions and call out the words.
Say, "Hoot like an o-w-l," speaking the last word very slowly (phonetically).
Say, "Pretend to eat a slice of h-a-m."
Say, "Flap your arms like a b-a-t."
Say, "Make a sound like a c-a-r horn."
Say, "Pretend to spread some j-a-m on toast."
